Feature/Change

Description

40.50.1002

Dual Steering Multiplane Emulation Groups

Added a new capability to open two steering multiplane emulation groups.

To enable this feature, the following parameters must be applied in addition to the standard configuration required for multiplane emulation:

  • Port Mapping (Array[phy_port] = logical port number):

    • MODULE_SPLIT_M0[0..7] = 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 (Respectively)

    • MODULE_SPLIT_M0[8..15] = FF

  • Physical Functions:

    • NUM_OF_PF = 8 (Note: NUM_PFS must equal the number of logical ports)

  • Plane Configuration (Note: NUM_PLANES must equal the number of logical ports on the plane group):

    • NUM_OF_PLANES_P1 = 4 (Logical port 1 has 4 planes, spanning logical ports 1-4)

    • NUM_OF_PLANES_P5 = 4 (Logical port 5 has 4 planes, spanning logical ports 5-8)

    • NUM_OF_PLANES_P# = 0 (For all other ports)

  • Load Balancing (Packet Steering):

    • LOAD_BALANCE_MODE_P1 = 3

    • LOAD_BALANCE_MODE_P5 = 3

Module Precoding Control

Module precoding control allows precoding to be enabled or disabled through PHY TLVs on both the host and the module, aligning NIC and module behavior with host PRM precoding control.

Modify-header Action Dependency

Added the missing source dependency check (SRC) for modify-header parallel actions, preventing odd actions from reading a field modified by the preceding even action.

FEC Alignment

FEC alignment is supported for lane speeds up to 100G per lane.
