Tenants separate data and user administration within one NVIDIA Minerva deployment. Platform Admins manage all tenants. Tenant Admins manage the users and configuration of their own tenant.
Before You Begin
Sign in as a Platform Admin. The default username is admin and the password is ChangeMe123!. Change the default password the first time you sign in (see Change Your Password). Until you do, anyone who can reach the UI can sign in as the Platform Admin.
For initial setup, create a tenant, and then add a Tenant Admin for it. Use Tenant Admin accounts for day-to-day user management, and reserve Platform Admin access for tasks that span tenants.
Create a Tenant
-
In the upper-right corner, click
and select Settings.
-
Select Tenants, and then click Actions > Create tenant.
-
Enter a Tenant name. Tenant names can include only letters, numbers, underscores, and hyphens, and can't be changed after you create the tenant.
-
Select the Date format and Timezone. The defaults are
YYYY-MM-DDandEtc/UTC. -
Under Dimensions, click + to add a filter that selects this tenant's data. You can include or exclude dimension values, or match them with a regular expression. The tenant's filters appear in the Filters column of the tenant list.
-
Click Save.
A new tenant starts with all pages enabled, Topology as its landing page, and the default views.
You can set dimensions only when you create a tenant. After that, the tenant's Tenant Admin can change them in Tenant Config > Advanced Configuration.
Add a Tenant Admin
-
Go to settings menu > Settings > Tenants > Users.
-
Add a user as described in Add a User, select the tenant, and select Tenant Admin under Roles by tenant.
The Tenant Admin can now sign in and manage the tenant.
What a Tenant Admin Sees
In Settings, a Tenant Admin sees Notifications, Tenant Config, System Configuration, and High Frequency Telemetry. Tenants, Single Sign On, Sherlock, and Usage Statistics are available only to Platform Admins.
Tenant Config has two tabs:
-
Users: the tenant's users. See Manage Users and Roles.
-
Advanced Configuration: the tenant's Date format and Timezone. Under Additional settings, it also has the tenant's Dimensions, its Pages & landing page, and Enable Mapping Sidebar.
Choose a Tenant's Pages and Landing Page
By default, a tenant can use all five pages, and Topology is the page users see when they sign in. To change this, sign in as the tenant's Tenant Admin:
-
Go to settings menu > Settings > Tenant Config > Advanced Configuration.
-
Expand Additional settings > Pages & landing page.
-
Select the pages the tenant can use. Under Landing, select the page users see when they sign in.
-
Click Save.
Delete a Tenant
Select the tenant and click Actions > Delete selected, or click the delete icon in its row. You can't delete a tenant that still has users: delete those users or assign them to another tenant first. You can't delete the default tenant.
