Tenants let you separate administration and user access within a single NVIDIA Minerva deployment. Each tenant has its own scoped administration context. Platform administrators can manage all tenants, while tenant administrators can manage users only within their assigned tenant.
Before You Begin
Sign in as a platform administrator. The default username is admin and the password is ChangeMe123!. Platform administrators have global access to tenant setup, SSO configuration, and cross-tenant user administration.
For initial setup, create a tenant first, then create and assign a tenant administrator. Reserve platform administrator access for global and cross-tenant tasks; use tenant administrator accounts for day-to-day user management within a tenant.
Create a Tenant
-
Sign in to the NVIDIA Minerva UI as a platform administrator.
-
Go to
Settings.
-
Open Tenants.
-
From Actions, select Create tenant.
-
Enter the tenant name, date format, timezone, and dimensions. Dimensions are organized into tenants via dimension key-value pairs. Select the dimension used to identify this tenant. If you don't have a specific dimension delineating tenants, use the Tenant dimension.
-
Save the tenant.
After the tenant is created, it becomes available for role and user assignment.
Create a Tenant Administrator
-
Go to
Settings > Users.
-
From Actions, select Add user.
-
Enter the fields. In Roles by tenant, enter Tenant Admin.
-
Complete the rest of the setup, then select Save.
The tenant administrator can now sign in and manage users within that tenant.
Verify Tenant-Scoped Access
-
Sign out as the platform administrator.
-
Sign in as the tenant administrator.
-
Open
Settings.
The tenant administrator sees tenant-scoped administration options only. Global platform controls, such as tenant management and SSO configuration, are available only to platform administrators.
